BIOGRAPHY

From an early age, I became aware of an essential need for non-judgemental support and active listening through my own development. I truly know what it feels like to not have that level of support/care and I never want anyone to feel as if their voice doesn't matter. I want to be that advocate for children and young adults who feel like no one is in their corner.

My specialties are working with individuals struggling with mood disorders and survivors of abuse from ages 2-23.

I am striving to provide a safe environment for people to learn how to safely regulate their emotions independently. I want my clients to gain confidence in themselves and strive to grow so they can live a more abundant life.

I am currently accepting self-pay clients and those with BCBS insurance.

I have appointments Fridays 8 am-4 pm and Saturdays 8 am-12 pm.

Education

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the State of Illinois. I earned my Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in psychology and equestrian therapy from William Woods University and my Master of Psychology (Clinical) degree (MPsych Clin) from Lindenwood University.

MICHELE TENNYSON

Life’s challenges can sometimes seem overwhelming. As a result, we can find ourselves doubting our resiliency and feeling unable to cope. Know that you are not alone and that reaching out for help is a sign of strength. My goal is to provide a safe and collaborative environment where, together, we can find solutions, learn...
